This is an example of a silo facility that went through a major reconstruction after a fire burned in a connected building. The fire burned for almost an entire month and spread through all 16 silos at the facility. It also destroyed an adjacent building, the silo headhouse and the top structure of each silo. BCM poured 10,000 square feet of new concrete roof panels on the ground and lifted them into place with a 300-ton crane. After the panels were set, BCM built a new, pre-engineered structure to house the conveyour equipment which spans the length of the silos.

The grain storage facility was constructed on the Sacramento River. Because of the high water table 110 concrete caissons, 3 feet in diameter and 45 feet deep had to be constructed. Using caissons in lieu of driven pile systems we saved the owner $50,000 in construction costs.
